On the 26th of May the learners from Grade 8 and 9 were given a chance to volunteer in having their blood tested for HIV/AIDS and all those who did were entered into a bicycle draw. The draw was done in front of all the learners and Ntombizanele Mqeki was number 1 and she won a Bicycle and number 2 Aphiwee Matyumza won a Trophy then number 3 Yonela Songwiqi won a laptop bag. Thank you to all the learners for being brave and thank you to the Department of health.

Lee-Anne Misseldine from Bishops Gate Golf Academy in Florida, visited our school during the term. Thank you Lee-ann for your visit and hope that you visit our school again soon.
The school for the first time held a camouflage show and would like to congratulate all the participants for their boldness. Congratulation to the crowned Prince and Princesses of the event.
Cindy Kotyi from Engen came to the school representing the Community chest and donated boxes of sanitary towels. We are very grateful as a school and community for this movement.
Every year on the 14th of February we celebrate our valentine’s day by having a couples show. Congratulations to our junior winners Lulibo Dywili and his partner Libhongo Jonas and senior winners Masiwakhe Siwisa and his Valenties partner Sandiswa Diniso.
Grade 11 learners attended a Xhosa festival on the 25th of February 2016. The aim of the event is to promote education and literacy in isiXhosa through both the written and the oral tradition. The event was sponsored by REDISA, a recycling company.
This year the learners from Grade 6, 7 and 8 attended the “Tour de Science” Science festival that is annually held in Grahamstown.
